Doing sacred geometry and healing and feng shui art and trying so very hard to get the perfect circle or the perfect square!

Use of foot ruler, compass, geometric instruments, we all do it some time or the other and in some form or the other. Some artists use scale to make borders for their paintings while some use it to understand perspective in a landscape. The T Square and the mahl stick and the spatulas and the combs I am surrounded with so many instruments , sometimes I even barge into my kitchen for the right cirle!

Is it okay to use instruments. does it make my art lesser than any other art? while making the perfect circle which is very difficult, do artists use instruments? well I do use and guidance of few instruments and I am proud of it. Instead of making shabyy artwork, I like perfection and crispness which i still have not achieved and never mind I have  a long way to go.. Maybe after many years of practice may not need these instruments or maybe the lines and shapes will  DISAPPEAR INTO TOTAL ABSTRACTION, evolving process continues..

Does this seem like a child filling in colour? what about the study behind the paintings, what about the coming down to simple sacred shapes, the child paints with innocence and so do I, why else would I love to paint squares and circles! when the world is moving so fast in technology and talent, why would I love to come close to nature, talk to plants and flowers and converse and make friends with birds!

The educational qualification tells it all, believe me to come down to simplicity is the most difficult thing , to try to take charge of your emotions, to think simple, live simple, eat to live and not live to eat, talk less, feeling so light without the attachments and possessions. With this fasting holy month of Ramzan the whole body is purified and the soul gets a thorough wash! closest to God.

I know many artists do need to use some form of art instruments and the painting is a process , a complete whole , a journey in itself where instruments are only a small part of the whole story. Whenever anyone comemnts on my favourite sacred shapes, oh so you paint squares, well a square is a sacred shape having four perfect corners. One end represents time while the opposite end eternity. It represents stability or conservation. Two over lapping squares, the most powerful symbol Octad, is a double square. a diamond shape evokes feelings of activeness. The two points of the sqaure constrain whereas the two points fot he daimond reach out thus making it a powerful symbol of harmony and complete balance.. In feng shui a square represents earth element and the area in the house representing this element is the centre of your home and the colours which favour this shape are yellow and brown.A circle a compleet whole represents the entire universe and its connectedness... ruled by the metal element and preferable colour grey, silver and metallic shades...

the concept of using sacred shapes to produce a desired result. a change in karma, a positive energy field.. .symbols for healing  sacred geometry for healing, that's my art!
